| Tiivistelmä: | The emergence of new technologies has radically changed the way companies are organized as well as the ideas on which production systems are based. Though flexibility has become today a new byword, it is only one aspect of the new production system which also tends toward reductions in size and complexity and to improved organization of logistical factors. The combination of these three factors, resulting in a shorter production cycle, is a crucial element in the effort to make a company more dynamic and responsive. Due to these changes companies become "organism" accommodating their structure to their environment in which they "live". |
