| Tiivistelmä: | The amounts invested in logistics vary widely from one company to another. In order to understand these rather surprising differences, the authors undertook a study of 20 companies that have substantially reorganized their logistics department in the past three years. The reduction of costs in the field of logistics has been usually reached by the automatization of administrative operations, reduction of the number of own warehouses, renegotiation of transportation costs. The enterprises realizing the most spectacular economies have reorganized their logistics service in an "integrative" way. |
