Tiivistelmä:Just-in-time and global sourcing create new challenges for logistics firms. The four major strategy types offering themselves: increasing market share, market creation (i. e. entry into new markets with old services), product development (new services in old markets) and diversification (new services in new markets). Abell's three dimensional product-market matrix (its dimensions are function, technology and sector of demand) assist in the determination of firm strategy.
