Tiivistelmä:Environmental (hereafter as: env-al.) valuation (here as: val.) can be seen as a process evolving as individuals reflect on their consumption (here as: cons.) experience. This paper considers how env-al. values could change as the subject has reached the end of the cons. process. A split sample comparison is conducted for estimating the values that tourists give to a set of landscape attributes (in the island of Gran Canaria or Canary Islands, and at the airport). The results show that the influence of the cons. experience depends on the val. method and the consideration of interaction effects in the model. The val. functions were not stable across both sites for most of the models considered.
