| Tiivistelmä: | An important class of procedures for measuring productivity at the firm level is the collection of total factor productivity changes to the firms profitability. The expressions presented here provide a mechanism to explain changes in profits due to productivity performance beyond the level associated with a return on investment goal. This is an extension of existing measurement procedures that utilize gross profit margin rather than return on investment as the improvement criterion. |
