| Tiivistelmä: | The flexibility of machinery and plants is a factor that influences efficiency decisively. This assumption implies that flexibility of working stock increases the capital costs, on the one hand, and provides a number of economic effects on the other hand. This emphasizes the necessity of optimizing equipment's flexibility in the phase of preparing investment projects. Based on the definition of the term "flexibility of machine systems" the paper describes a simulation model for optimizing flexibility of these systems in the preparation phase of investment projects. |
