Tiivistelmä:Organizational change requires challenging our accepted notions how change is introduced and managed, and then searching for ways to do things differently or better. Executives commonly want to know how long it takes to change a company and its culture. In fact, it's among the most frequent questions they ask. The textbook answer is clear: Most say five to seven years. These answers are modeled after such world class examples as Xerox Corporation and General Electric Company (GE), and reinforced by academics and consultants who proffer step-by-step change management approaches that take a similiar amount of time. Moreover, the five-to-seven-year time frame is typically cited in success stories. Less effective processes take even longer.
