Tiivistelmä:Valuation of Strategies for International Market Entry This paper concentrates on the problem of choosing an internationalizing strategy. On account of the imperfect informations being available on foreign sociocultural systems forecasts of the strategies' consequences in payment are often impossible. Therefore the net present value method is not applicable in this case. One still must not give up methodically controlled decision making: So the consequences of the strategies can be described by several indicators for future payments. As these indicators often can be measured only with an ordinal scale a multiattribute decision problem arises. This "soft" decision problem can be solved in a "hard" manner by applicating multiattribute decision-making methods. It is suggested to use the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP).
