| Tiivistelmä: | The model of mangrove-shrimp fishery linkages demonstrates that it is possible to modify a standard bioeconomic fishery model to account explicitly for the effect of a change in mangrove habitat area on carrying capacity and thus production. By employing a dynamic discrete-time model and assuming open access conditions, one is able to solve for the impacts on steady-state levels of shrimp harvest and revenues that result from a change in mangrove area. |
