Tiivistelmä:The growing importance of electronic media for the management of customer relationships raises the question, whether electronic relationships are different from traditional ones. This paper presents and discusses the results of an empirical study that compares 169 electronic to 146 traditional banking relationships. Using a multi-group structural equation modeling approach, significant differences among both samples are identified. In addition, a general framework for identifying moderating impacts on complex relationships between latent variables is provided. The paper also provides a substantial list of references on this subject.
