| Tiivistelmä: | This paper investigates the role of Poland in the international division of labour where the context of transformation is increasingly competitive, based on knowledge and innovation. It is argued that Poland's integration into the international economy is highly uneven. The argument is based on statistics and case studies. Low spending on research and development are undermining the advantages of a well educated workforce. |
