| Tiivistelmä: | This paper examines the effect of executive leadership (here as: l-ship.) behaviours (here as: ls-bhs.) on the organizational commitment (OC) of subordinate (as: s-o./s-os.) managers and the influence of the latter on measures of company performance (as: c-perf). Based on research and the main l-ship. dimensions identified in the GLOBE project, formulated are hypotheses on the relationship btw. perceived ls-bhs. and s-os.' OC. It is assumed that this OC is beneficial to c-perf. ratings. Based on data from a sample of 78 companies from the Germanic cultural area, the results suggest that desirable ls-bhs. are positively related to s-os.' OC, and that OC contributes to c-perf. |
