| Tiivistelmä: | Rossiter (2008) aims at showing that traditional measure development procedures are flawed, illustrating his reasoning using measures of the export coordination construct (by Diamantopoulos and Siguaw). This article explains the errors that Rossiter (2008) makes in the application of the C-OAR-SE procedure, and in the assumptions inherent in the procedure. It is shown that the 'corrected' measure by Rossiter (2008) based on the procedure lacks validity. It is concluded that the procedure needs more work to become a useful tool for researchers. |
