| Tiivistelmä: | When planning and coordinating shipments of many items from a central warehouse to each of a number of retailers, four factors should be considered. There is developed a mathematical model and an algorithm for planning economic shipping intervals for each of I items stocked at a single warehouse and at N retailers which consider these factors. Demand for each item at each retailer is assumed to occur at a constant and continuous rate. |
