| Tiivistelmä: | As the Management Information System function becomes more strategically important, greater emphasis is being placed on managing MIS as a resource. A key question is how to construct an appropriate management control system for such a dynamic resource. Explored are the problems of applying traditional management accounting practices to the management of the MIS function, resulting in a call for new management accounting practices. The MIS manager will now often be called upon to participate in the highest level of corporate planning. |
