| Tiivistelmä: | Comments are made about current trends in strategy-content research. Two particular conditions and a derived reaction have led the field to its current position. First, strategy began as a capstone course, intended to integrate the functional areas. The fields domain was very broadly defined, making theory generation difficult. Second, in the capstone conception, the field was given the role of translating the insights from various functional areas into action. The strategy field could benefit from a more substantial theoretical perspective. |
