| Tiivistelmä: | The aim of the present paper is to develop empirically-based classification patterns for twelve commonly used financial ratios and measure the long- term stability and structural invariance of these pattern. The data are based on US and Finnish industrial firms' reports and the selected financial ratios are short- and long-term solvency, profitability and efficiency. Classifications are developed with the help of factor analysis, while stability and invariance analyses are made with transformation analysis. |
