| Tiivistelmä: | A model to make optimal decisions regarding replace-repair strategies for servicing products sold with combined failure free warranty is formulated. The model presented assumes that the failure distribution of repaired product is independent of the number of times the product has failed and been repaired. A more interesting case is where the failure distribution of repaired product depends on the number of times it has been repaired earlier. Another case is where each failure is repairable with probability "p" and not repairable with probability(1-p). These are just a few variants worthy of further investigations. |
