| Tiivistelmä: | The overall inspection of Electricite de France (EDF) provides an opportunity to quarry the ethnographic approach to organizations and,in particular,to examine the notion of culture which is an essential component of the examined state-owned company. There are two basic features that distinguish the EDF from other large companies: the distance kept by its higher staff with regard to it and the cleavage between the values of syndical and "industrial" type. As to the real culture of an enterprise,it is emphasized,that this phenomenon is of a double character,being real and imagined at the same time. |
