Tiivistelmä:As the interconnectedness of various nations and regions becomes more and more significant, international business people must devote increased attention to fostering long-term cooperation with their trading partners. Various orientations of international business from the 18th century to the present are examined. The global perspectives of industrialization and Westernization of the Third World are assessed. It is shown that quick and unregulated diffusion of products or marketing arrangements causes pain, disruption, and tragic results. Views of anthropologists and Third World intellectuals are cited and commented, and some case studies of development are mentioned.
