| Tiivistelmä: | The author presents statistical data on the performance of FRG economy. Enumerates positive (infrastructure, educational level, R&D) and negative (labour costs, worktime, taxes, environmental and energy requirements) factors of the country's competitive position. He works out a method of cost versus attractivity analysis, which characterises the competivity of different countries and industries (e. g. FRG or telecommunication are high cost high attractivity, Greece and shoemaking low cost and low attractivity , Spain and paper low cost high attractivity etc.). |
