| Tiivistelmä: | Managing the trade-off between achieving a stable master production schedule (MPS) and being responsive to changes in customer requirements is especially difficult if high level customer service is required. As an alternative solution one may freeze an agreed portion of the MPS. The paper examines the impact of adjustments in the design parameters of these methods on two performance measures: MPS lot-sizing costs and stability. |
