It then discusses the variables in maintenance cost that affect production, including opportunity cost, incremental maintenance cost, intermediate storage requirements, idle production employees, parts inventory, preventive maintenance, maintenance cost versus capacity utilization, quality of maintenance personnel, and increased maintenance staff levels. |
