| Tiivistelmä: | Increased competition on markets for both capital and goods combined with technological advances have already obliged many enterprises to restructure. An examination of diversified enterprises shows that many have opted for a decentralised organization in the form of a management holding. This holds for more than 30 p.c. of the 50 largest industrial enterprises in the Federal Republic of Germany. The article examines the reasons for the introduction of a management holding, its structural features and instruments, as well as the legal issues. |
