| Tiivistelmä: | New international economics emphasizes the role of technology as a major factor of trade, but only in a static context. The present article investigates the dynamic characteristics of technological change, its impact on competitiveness and trade flows. Five industrial countries (Germany, Japan, France, Sweden and the Netherlands) serve as empirical examples. |
