| Tiivistelmä: | This report examines the Ukrainian market for OTC (over the counter) health care. The industry has suffered a decline over the past few years. The market will remain very small and one of the most underdeveloped in the region as long as the economic situation of the country does not improve. In 1996 per capita expenditure on OTC health care products is estimated to amount to Kb288,253. This represents a dramatic increase at current prices from Kb1,338 in 1992, although in real terms per capita expenditure has fallen over the period. Consumer prices rose faster than in any other country in the region between 1992-1996. |
