| Tiivistelmä: | Hong kong's linked exchange rate system with ample foreign exchange reserves as the guarantee for its implementation is suited to Hong kong's characteristics of small open economy. In view of the increasingly close economic connection between Hong kong and the inland, Hong kong's such an exchange rate arrangement will incorporate more "China factors". In the mid and short run, proceeding from the need of stablizing Hong kong's economy, it is not high time to reform the linked exchange rate system. It is also because the financial environment necessary for flexible exchange rate system need to be created urgently. In the mid and short run, such a system will continue to exist. |
