| Tiivistelmä: | Slovenia has only now started to get to grips with the challenges of privatisation and restructuring the banking system. Most small trading and service activities in Slovenia are now handled by private firms. But the privatisation of larger firms has been slow to get going. Slovenia is by far the wealthiest and most export-oriented of the former federal Yugoslav republics. Average income a head in 1993 was just over 6,000, more than double the Czech and Polish levels. |
