| Tiivistelmä: | The article offers selected results of the empirical research project that has been concentrated on the issues of strategic restructuring of medium and large Slovenian business firms in the five main manufacturing sectors, after the foundation of Slovenia as an independent state and after the beginning of transition period in the country in 1990.Characteristics of the changes in the positions of managing directors as well as value profiles of the chief executives are identified.The main characteristics of strategic restructuring processes are analysed.Finally, the most significant strategic implementation problems are highlighted.In the conclusion an assessment is made of how successful the restructuring processes have been on the enterprise level up to now. |
