| Tiivistelmä: | The question regarding the various methods of privatisation has attracted widespread discussion in the economic literature concerning the transition process of the former socialist countries to market-style economic systems. Since the privatisation of state-owned enterprises and, moreover, the development of an (autonomous) private sector can be regarded as fundamental stages on the whole stony road to a less state-regulated economic system, there exists a wide range of proposals on how to privatise state companies and assets. |
