| Tiivistelmä: | China must and is able to be self-satisfied and self- sufficient in grain. We can realize this goal by the following ways: expanding farmland; developing the resources of non-cultivated areas; raising the science and technology contents in grain production; transforming medium and low- yield land and saving on food. To realize the above objectives, we must make arduous and unremitting efforts, and adopt some countermeasures: controlling population growth strictly, protecting cultivated land; increasing input; improving production conditions; making the price parities between industrial and agricultural products rational and raising grain benefit; promoting operation of scale and rejuvenating agriculture by developing science and education. |
