| Tiivistelmä: | Since 1979, China's grain and agricultural development has experienced three stages: 1. rapid development (1979-1984). In that stage, the total grain output increased by 33.6% with an average annual growth rate of 4.9%. 2. slow development (1985-1989). The total grain output decreased by a large margin with the range of decrease reaching as high as 6.9% in 1985 and after that, fluctuated and made no progress. 3. stable growth (1990-1995). In the six years, China had experienced double increases and two double decrease in its grain output. For instance, the total grain output was 446.2 billion kg. in 1990 and 466.6 billion kg in 1995, setting a new record in history. |
