| Tiivistelmä: | According to statistics, during the Eighth-Five-Year Plan period, the contracted foreign investment in Agriculture reached US$ 4.798 billion, an increase of 6 times over the Seventh Five-Year Plan period. It was concentrated in the open coastal areas and used mainly for the farm product- processing project. This paper discusses the basic train of thought on foreign investment in agriculture and raises the following policy suggestions: 1. pushing forward the reform in the field of circulation of farm products, 2. further opening farm product-market, 3. Tax-reduction or exemption should be made, to the maximum, 4. reducing the fee for land use for foreign businessmen's planting and breeding and allowing self-produced farm products to be exported. |
