| Tiivistelmä: | Agricultural problems and policies are important for European integration and trade. This article will review the main pros and cons of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), the present costs involved for consumers, taxpayers and third parties, and some obstacles to farm policy reform in Europe and elsewhere needed to reduce these costs. It will conclude with a few remarks about the need to also reform the Common Fisheries Policy which is the CAP's closest relative. |
