| Tiivistelmä: | The forms of foreign financial institutions in China have gradually been varied. Their setup has extended from special economic zones to the coastal and inland areas. Their management mode has shifted from decentralization to centralization. They have brought both challenges and opportunities. China should introduce them gradually and formulate stage-based policy objectives to strengthen the macro beneficial results from introducing foreign financial institutions. In addition, it should choose carefully foreign financial institutions and open financial business gradually according to the corresponding principle. Besides, three-lever supervision and management system (self -discipline, legal system and international supervision and management) should be established and the competitiveness of domestic financial institutions strengthened. |
