Tiivistelmä:The neglect of historical analyses in organization and management studies is an inescapable feature of the discipline. It is, nevertheless, still widely recognized that overlooking and forgetting the past has serious consequences for present and future organizational circumstances. In this special issue, historical analyses are employed to improve our understanding of the intricacies of empowerment initiatives at the workplace.
