| Tiivistelmä: | In its second annual report on the progress of the single market, the Commission expresses some satisfaction on its achievements, but clearly recognizes that a lot remains to be done. There is evidence that the elimination of border controls for goods has significantly improved the efficiency of transport services and reduced costs and delivery times. Surveys of small and medium-sized enterprises and the findings of a committee of equity on road freight transport show real savings and greater flexibility in distribution. |
