| Tiivistelmä: | A great change has taken place in the growth rate, age structure and family size of China's population since 1980s. At the same time, the economic boom brought about by the reform and opening has brought great changes to the levels of people's income and living, influencing directly the fate of various commodities on the market. By using the data gained from the census in 1982, 1999, and the sampling survey of 1% population in 1995, the paper analyzes and explores this issue. |
