| Tiivistelmä: | Until recently the French Treasury bond market was almost unknown to foreigners. One cause was that the French market had a multitude of new, sometimes incomprehensible instruments. Foreign borrowers preferred the Eurofranc market to the tightly-regulated domestic market. Now the government-bond market is finally shaking of its cob-webs and trying to be competitive and international. As a symbol, the head of the French Treasury organized a roadshow in London to sell government bonds to foreign investors. |
