| Tiivistelmä: | France's smaller businesses are having to run fast to survive recession. The small and medium business (PME in French) are vital to France, more so than in the U.K. or Germany. Since fewer French PMEs are publicly quoted than in the U.K., early weakness is not noticed by institutional investors. However, French banks pool their credit information on a register run by the central bank, counterbalancing this problem. |
