| Tiivistelmä: | Managers and employees in companies are powerfully driven by emotional quest for status. Competition in this search can be destructive. Evolutionary psychology is used in this study to argue that management can harness status-seeking energy to add value to the company by manipulating the environment and the criteria and symbols of status within the organization. |
