| Tiivistelmä: | The analyses show that the earnings correlation between adult children and their parents is relatively low in Finland. the earnings correlations have been constant for those who were born in the 1950s and 1960s. By decomposing the correlation, mechanisms behind the correlation can be found. The welfare state, and the educational system in particular, are of importance for the economic status of children (original in Swedish). |
