| Tiivistelmä: | The objective of this research is to examine the differences in performance between and among three sectors of small ventures in the Israel tourism industry: accommodation, sites of interest and active recreation. The general hypothesis was following: small ventures of interest and active recreation sites show higher levels of performance than small accommodation ventures. The findings partially supported the hypothesis and the results showed significant differences in performance of small ventures from these sectors. In contrast to expectations accommodation sites showed higher performance than the two other sectors of sites in the subjective measures of occupancy and customer satisfaction and profitability relative to competitors. |
