| Tiivistelmä: | When Yardley introduced teamworking, it had a beneficial effect on the bottom line as well as on the production line. The team on the lipstick line at Yardley used to have a hard job lifting heavy boxes of containers on to the automatic lipstick filling machine, known as "Alf". They decided the solution lay either in bringing the lipsick containers to the factory in smaller boxes or in fitting a conveyor belt to do the lifting for them. The second option turned out to be the cheaper one, and the company has now agreed to buy a small conveyor. |
