| Tiivistelmä: | China has adjusted its import tariff rate recently. Its aim is to solve the contradictions between high nominal tariff level and low actual tariff level , between the system for import and the demand of GATT as well as the contradictions arising from unfair competition between regions and enterprises. After an analysis of the main characteristics of the adjustment of import tariff, this paper considers that the adjustment of tariff is favorable to the development of China's national industry and its foreign trade and will likely increase financial revenue and benefit consumers too. |
