| Tiivistelmä: | The past decade has seen some extraordinary changes in emerging markets. While the fall of the Berlin Wall and the changes in Central and Eastern Europe are among the more spectacular, many profound changes have also been taking place elsewhere. In this article, the authors identify the policy changes that have been taking place in the emerging economies since the late 1980s. They call these changes "the new liberalism". The discussion is concentrated on the relationship between the emerging countries and the WTO. |
