| Tiivistelmä: | During 1992, a major survey of the internal audit profession was undertaken in Australia. The survey was conducted through questionnaires sent to chief executives and internal audit managers of a wide range of organizations in the private and public sector. While there is general overall support for education and training, there is apparent confusion among internal audit managers as to whether internal audit is a training ground or a career position. The future role of internal audit is seen in a very positive sense by both CEOs and internal audit managers. |
