| Tiivistelmä: | In this invited lecture to the Eight efmd Seminar for Public Sector Management Development in April in the Hague (the Netherlands), the author outlines what change in Public Service is about, puts forward a model to help management development to cope with change and examines the implications of his statements for management development in the public sector. These two questions arise: Is management in the private sector really the same as management in the public sector? How does MD contribute to the enhancement or reinforcement of the willingness and ability to conduct necessary changes in the public sector? |
