Tiivistelmä:In the healthcare sector, the rule of informed (henceforth as: inf-) consent has thoroughly changed everyday decision-making during the past decades. Using the view of organizational fashion studies, this paper examines the dissemination of inf-consent. It is argued that this approach can be employed to stimulate renewed reflections on what inf-consent procedures (here as: procs.) do and how and when such procs. get supported by various organizational actors. Presented is a history of the agencies involved in formulating the inf-consent requirement etc.
