| Tiivistelmä: | The authors investigate latest developments in international trade theory, with special reference to intra-industry trade. They find the generalisation of the Heckscher-Ohlin-Samuelson theorem on the case of monopolistic competition as progressive in the sense of Lakatos both theoretically and empirically. Efforts at the explication of intra-industry trade should be regarded as a branch separate from and competitive with the ruling neoclassical paradigm. |
